51°µÍø Police is a fully functional police department. All of our officers are graduates of a certified police academy and are certified through the Louisiana Police Officers Standards & Training Council Exam. Selected officers receive specialized training each year, and all officers receive recertification courses as needed. Our professional status and growth allows us to both protect and provide public service to the University community. It is the expectation of the University community to have an atmosphere that is conducive to a learning environment, and it is the goal of University Police to assist in this effort by enforcing the laws, rules, and regulations that govern our university.
